Indiana State Fair Soybean Art Competition
The Indiana Soybean Alliance will be celebrating “The Art and Nature of Fun” theme during the 2024 Indiana State Fair and has announced an art competition in partnership with the Brooks Lamb Foundation for the Arts in Lebanon, Indiana. This competition is open to artists 18 years and older who are residents of Indiana. Each entrant may submit one (1) or two (2) works, which must be original in concept and execution, using soybeans in their piece. This could include, but not limited to soybeans, soybean crayons, soy wax, soy fabric. 3D and flat pieces will be accepted. Artists are encouraged to get creative with their use of soybeans in their piece.
Entry Fee
$60 per work. All entry fees will be donated directly to the Brooks Lamb Foundation for the Arts, which will go to support students in Art Education. Entry fee is non-refundable.

Best of show will become property of the Indiana Soybean Alliance to be displayed with artist name and bio at the Glass Barn at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. There is an opportunity to opt out of this award. All finalists receive four state fair tickets and a fair family fun pack.

5-10 additional works will be selected to be displayed at the Glass Barn during the 2024 Indiana State Fair where fairgoers will be asked to vote for People’s choice. All finalists receive four state fair tickets and a fair family fun pack.
Entries Due
All entries must be submitted by June 1, 2024.
Judging will take place mid-June. All finalists for the awards will be invited to attend the Indiana Soybean Alliance Glass Barn reception at the State Fairgrounds, August 1 from 5-8 p.m. and awards will be announced.
Finalists will be required to drop their works at the Indiana Soybean Alliance Office prior to July 12, 2024. 8425 Keystone Crossing, Suite 200, Indianapolis Indiana.

June 1 - Due date for entries
Late June - Finalists notified

August 1 - Finalists art pieces displayed during Glass Barn reception at the Indiana State Fairgrounds 5-8 p.m. Artists invited to attend. Winners announced.
August 2-18 - Photo images of finalists displayed at the Glass Barn during the Indiana State Fair. People’s choice voting by fairgoers.
August 18 - People’s choice award announcement.
